SEX WORK IN INDIA: Historical Perspectives and Contemporary Realities
A common phrase used to incite the imagery of sex work in our society is ‘Illicit by night, eschewed by day’. This pariah community of sex workers with own needs and desires are excluded from the mainstream. This series attempts to understand the condition of sex workers during different periods in history.
CURRICULUM IN QUESTION
On 15th February 2021, the UGC published its suggested curriculum/syllabus for the undergraduate degree course in History. The proposed syllabus has been under much scrutiny by academia - teachers and scholars of history alike, alongside the students who have displayed mixed feelings.
DELHI UNIVERSITY OBE SURVEY
The survey studies the Online Open-Book Examinations(OBE) conducted by Delhi University as an alternative to physical examinations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey examines the leakages in the online examination system with respect to student’s internet accessibility, technological sustainability of the portal system, availability of resources and feasibility of the online system alongside its efficacy in lieu of other alternatives.
